The CT18P-18S200-1 is a surface mount transducer offered by Challenge that is designed to be a cost-effective alternative to other audio products. With a versatile piezo solution and a high output of 100 dB at rated voltage, this transducer is suitable for a wide range of applications. Its unique form factor allows it to be used in a variety of settings, and it offers a significantly lower price point compared to other options on the market.

Challenge Electronics seeks to reduce customer costs while maintaining premium quality with our latest transducer addition, the CT12E-06T204-1. This new model features a fully automated manufacturing process to reduce unit cost and increase reliability. This is done by replacing a standard PCB design with an overmolded contact design allowing for automated placement. By reducing human involvement at every step, human error is eliminated, part to part variance is decreased and overall efficiency is improved.

Challenge Electronics’ latest offering of mobile speakers incorporates a unique, cutting-edge design not seen elsewhere in mobile speakers. By mounting a flexible printed circuit (FPC) around the diaphragm and not requiring internal electrical routing, space is freed for a larger internal chamber. The design also allows for greater diaphragm vibration range for a lower resonant frequency while also placing less stress on the solder joints for added reliability. The FPC speaker has a lower resonant frequency, higher reliability all without increasing overall footprint.

The CS17-01P87-02-1 is Challenge Electronics’ new 5-magnet mobile speaker. The design combines the advantages of the standard 17 by 12mm design which is optimized for loudness with an increased magnetic density to reduce resonant frequency. The design offers an overall flat frequency response and high power handling for an excellent choice when designing for voice or music.

The CS40-01P50-04-1 40 x 13 x 4mm mobile speaker is the largest mobile speaker currently on the market. The increased size offers the benefits of a mobile speaker design in a form factor capable of stronger audio output. The CS40-01P50-04-1 is designed with a low resonant frequency of 500 Hz while most mobile speakers in this dimensional range only achieve a resonant frequency of 750 Hz minimum. The increased diaphragm size combined with the mobile style voice coil of the CS40-01P50-04-1 offers previously unseen flat frequency response for mobile speakers excellent for both voice and music.
